Subject: tips on file attachments due to new virus
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Linda,
the tip that will tell you if it is a virus attachment or not...
There is usually TWO attachments. This is characteristic of
SirCam virus.
And there is usually a statement about asking to check the information
English Version:
I send you this file in order to have your advice
I hope you can help me with this file that I send
I hope you like the file that I sendo you
This is the file with the information that you ask for
Also sometime a fax memo attachment. This one is what slipped through
the antivirus and damaged my software programs last Friday morning.
You might want to tell the managers to check with submitters first.
Some anti-virus software will destroy the virus and change the name
of attachment to a .txt (in case of Norton, it will says Norton...txt)
And if Zonelabs catch them - they will destroy the virus and put
in the name of zonelab in it.
David
