I must join Nancy. I prefer that the folks at the Tombstone Project send
the files to me to handle. That way I'm sure my county archivist are aware
of the files and will add them to their TOC. I doubt that many of us take
the time to rummage around in our ftp directories to see if some good fairy
has added items.
And I for one would be delighted to take over the Tombstone Project page
for OK so that the updates to that page could be done as soon as new
cemetery information has been added to the county files.

And that's exactly how it should be done.
Instead of having that plan in stone, however, because not every
volunteer spends the exact amount of time on the Archives files, it's
nice to have an option to work with other uploaders.
Look where we've gotten since June 1996. There were people handling six,
seven, even 20 states. Now we have individual county archivists in some
cases.
As I said, the key is communication. The archivists/fm's, if it's prefer
red, then please let the other special project volunteers know they
should send the files to you. At that time, you can ask if they would
mind formatting and prepping the files, if that would help save you
time, too.
